The transfer window might have come to a close but the supporters are still voicing their opinions about their beloved teams and the deals they have managed to cement. Kaizer Chiefs have been a major talking point as many of their supporters feel that their team did not pull out all the stops.
One of our readers shared his views on the prices of players, and pointed out that times have changed and that both Chiefs and Orlando Pirates need to start opening their cheque books.
"You can maybe say that our players are overpriced and the league is not giving enough money, but think of it, R3.5 billion for Neymar to PSG, are they competing for more than R3 billion in Ligue 1? No. They compete for far less than that. Pirates and Chiefs are no better than Polokwane City, they can't even buy R5 million Rusike but they have no better striker. These teams pretend to be bankrupt when they bank millions. If they keep on sticking to their old ways of doing business, they will not just lose dignity but supporters also. We can't stand with joke teams, times have changed. Pirates and Chiefs must also change and buy quality, stop being stingy." – Zax5-Bucs
Do you think Pirates and Chiefs are stingy with their money?
