Mexico's Fascinating World Cup Record

In today's edition of Supporters Club Did You Know, we bring you two fascinating records regarding Mexico and the FIFA World Cup.

Mexico is one of only two nations to have ever hosted a World Cup twice. Mexico hosted the showpiece in 1970 and 1986, while Brazil did the same 1950 and 2014.

The player who has played in the most World Cups also comes from Mexico – Antonio Carbajal played in five different World Cups throughout his career, and represented his country in the 1950, 1954, 1958, 1962, and 1966 editions of the tournament.
