2. Niche Training : Marketing Intern – Plumstead, Cape Town
If you have a passion for social media, marketing and digital work, and intend to build a career in this space, then this is the position you want. Niche Training presents training and speaking events around the country and occasionally beyond the borders. The events industry is a wonderful, creative and developing industry with many opportunities for someone with the right skills.
They are looking for someone to extend digital reach, ensure constant content is available on online platforms and build and network databases of prospective delegates.
Remuneration is R3500 per month and it's a 6 month contract
Duties
- Day-to-day management of various websites and blogs and social media accounts including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Slide Share and Hootsuite.
- Development of content for these sites and platforms.
- Listing public events on a number of sites.
- Creating lists of contacts for specific projects.
- Reaching out to contacts, connecting via social media, email and phone and offering of content and promoting courses.
Requirements
- Proven skill in social media and writing.
- Researching and writing a blog post on a given topic
- Distilling a longer message into something appropriate for Twitter
- Distilling given information into a relevant and useful Slide Share presentation
- Handling a telephonic conversation and communicating clearly and helpfully
- Researching and drawing up of a list of information based on a specific set of criteria

4. Media24: Postgraduate Journalism Bursary 2016 – Cape Town, North West, Gauteng, Eastern Cape
Media24 offers four bursaries for students wanting to complete their postgraduate qualifications in journalism at either Stellenbosch University, NWU (North West University), Wits or Rhodes University.
The only way to join our bursary programme is to get accepted onto one of the postgraduate courses at these partner institutions. If your application is successful, the universities inform Media24 and we contact candidates who meet our requirements.
This is a two-year bursary programme – one year of postgraduate study and one year based at Media24. For 2016 we're specifically offering bursaries for those eager to be based at Beeld, Rapport, Die Burger or Netwerk24.
