'I Don't Want To See Memela Being Greedy, He Must Pass The Ball'

'I Don't Want To See Memela Being Greedy, He Must Pass The Ball'

Orlando Pirates have turned their attention to the Nedbank Cup as they get ready to host Ajax Cape Town just over a week after losing to the Urban Warriors in a league fixture.

Attacking midfielder Luvuyo Memela has stressed the importance of their clash against Ajax in the competition's last 32. Despite having lost to Muhsin Ertugral's side in the league recently, Memela believes cup games require a different mentality, and said that Bucs are going into this game to win it at all costs.

Supporters Club members have reacted to Memela's statement; here's what some had to say:

"You can't be selfish. This time around, before you decide to lunge a shot, I think you need to check first who is in a better position to convert an opportunity than you. If there's no one, then you're free to take a shot." – Always a way

"Try to score a goal in the early stages of the game and you will have an open game the entire 90 minutes." – Lindor92

"Wena, Memela, I will be at the stadium Saturday. I don't want to see you being greedy, you must pass the ball. Bucs 4-1 Ajax." – SowetoBOY

"The only way to destroy parking bus teams like Ajax is to score first. Then they will play an open game trying to score. I blame Boebie Solomon for this bus parking tactics, he's the one who started this in the PSL while coaching Santos." – scoreman99

How far do you think Bucs will go in the Nedbank Cup?
