'Erasmus Forced His Way Out Of Pirates, Let's See What Happens Next'

On Thursday, Ligue 1 side Rennes confirmed that they had terminated South African striker Kermit Erasmus' contract with them.

The forward joined Rennes in a surprise move from Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in 2016, but played only 11 games for his now former team.

Supporters Club members have shared their mixed emotions regarding the departure of Erasmus from the club:

"He forced his way out of Pirates. Let's wait and see his next destination." – Tcha15

"If they didn't recognise your talent, it's their loss. Take your time to consider your next move carefully. At Pirates, we have a rejuvenated team, I know you can be a valuable part of a league-winning team next season. Thank you for showing the colours of our great country." – Cecil_Mobz

"Orlando Pirates FC must sign Kermit for these last few games. We can push for the league with him. We need quality forwards and he is quality. KE95." – Lebogang"Morula"Mabihi

"It's very unusual that when players return to their home country, they rejoin their former teams. I guess KE95 will join City." – De Donna

"Come back home, boy. We miss your speedy moves and your unique tricky ways of scoring, even from awkward angles. Once and Always!" – Mthiziman

Do you think Pirates should re-sign Erasmus?
