Orlando Pirates duo James Okwuosa and Mahlatse Makudubela have officially been announced as Chippa United players for the upcoming 2017/18 season. However, one name that has been notably left out is that of goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo.
The shot-stopper was revealed as a Chippa player in the media but the club did not have the 26-year-old on their official listings that were revealed yesterday.
The supporters have spoken out about the players that the Chilli Boys have bought, and while some have pointed out that Mhlongo's name is missing from the pile, others made more suggestions of players that Chippa should have bought from the Buccaneers.
"What about Mhlongo?" – ZunguSox
"Chippa want to win the league this season. They signed a whole new squad." – nobleG
"You need to go back to Bucs and enquire for Gcaba and Sarr, please Mr Mpengesi." – Maserati112 and Adv Gerrie Nel will prosecute Zuma
"I don't see Mhlongo's name in there…" – khosiological
"They should have signed Jele and Sarr." – mainama
"Why didn't you also sign Matlaba, Jele, Gcaba and Gabuza as well?" – cija aka return
"I feel for James Okwuosa. The guy was not given any game chances, I mean we played a hot Sundowns team, so why do you judge him alone? Why was he signed anyway? I blame anyone who is responsible for signing players, you don't do your homework!" – mulalo88@gmail.com
Do you think Pirates should look to swap more players with Chippa?
