Another week void of a win for Kaizer Chiefs. The 0-0 draw to ASEC Mimosas saw Kaizer Chiefs knocked out of the CAF Champions League competition and left them lost without any chance for silverware this season. The problem appears to be a goal drought. The solution… Does not seem clear.
"Our players are not hungry enough." These were the words of Kaizer Chiefs Supporter, Masixole Buqa.
He said this has been a trend that has been clear for a while now in a couple of Kaizer Chiefs games, starting with the 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates.
"If you look at the Jomo Cosmos game, we had 14 attempts more than them, six shots on target and didn't convert one. Our players are not hungry enough."
The solution according to this Supporter is to take the old players who have become complacent out and replace them with the hungrier youngsters.
"Take Shabba out, not even on the bench. Take him to the stands." Concluded Masixole.
How do you ignite hunger in a team that has lost it? Is it a case of replacing old players with new ones?
