Former Pirates midfielder Hleza Mofedi expressed his concerns about Jose Riveiro's team this season.
Mofedi is concerned about the team's inconsistency, with the Buccaneers winning only two out of their first four matches of the DStv Premiership season.
He feels that the Soweto giants could do well in cup competitions but will struggle in the race to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns in the league.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Mofedi: I Foresee Problems For Pirates" story:
"I don't think all is lost. This is soccer and it can be unpredictable sometimes. Bucs can challenge for the league, Chiefs, Arrows, SuperSport even Cape Town City are in the mix.
"It's still early although we acknowledge that Sundows has started well," says user949915.
"If we can stop playing with that green Jersey and only use black for both home and away, we will be consistent," says @ThizaK.
"I agree with him fully that Bucs are inconsistent. We can continue with the cups that we can win, but league will be difficult," says @Normzm.
"Eish this Mofede is always talking what what. Pirates were good in the league game against Stellies. It's just that they didn't get the result. They were not so good against the same team in MTN8 and they got the result.
"What he should be saying is that Pirates must be wise enough to know that while searching for a win, they ought not to concede. They made that mistake against Stellies in the league when they should have at least settled for a draw," says msanisto.

Kaizer Chiefs could offer their DStv Diski Challenge captain, Omega Mdaka a senior team contract, with Siya Crew sources indicating the left-back may be earmarked for senior team action this season.
Mdaka could be offered a three-year deal at Amakhosi and is said to add to Chiefs' left-back options, joining Sifiso Hlanti, Happy Mashiane and Edmilson Dove, who's played in predominately central defence for the Glamour Boys.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Find A Solution For Left Back Depth" story:
"Enough with promoting young players. I'm not against it but at this time we need players who have experience. There is this player from Stellies, Ox Mthethwa, yoh, what a player. If we can get him to play with Castillo..." says mlekeleli.
"No...no.. Zwane please don't recommend a thing, you failed dismally. Let Ntseki do his job in peace, wena take a sit and learn vele that's what you're good at. Ntseki, don't fall for these cheap tricks, you'll get fired," says lwazihnzimande.
"Nonsense, go and buy a left back. Mashiane, Ntiya-Ntiya now Mdaka? Please no," says shabanguntuthuko.
"What about right back? Only Frosler is there," asks matemane.
"Dillan Solomons can play as a right back as well. I actually prefer him there with Frosler as a number 8, but hey I'm not a Chiefs coach," says gsithole.
"We also heard that when Happy Mashiane was promoted," says Normz.
