Carling League Of Champions In Cape Town

Carling League Of Champions In Cape Town

South African communities are gearing up for another football spectacle as Carling Black Label will once again celebrate the efforts of ordinary men when the 2015 Carling League of Champions continues on Saturday, 13 June at Langa grounds in Cape Town.

The fourth edition of this exciting football festival by Carling Black Label will be contested for by a total of 60 teams from across the country. Once again, the round-robin structured football tournament will see the winners pocketing a R30 000 prize cheque accompanied by an all-expenses paid trip to the 2015 Carling Black Label Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the FNB stadium on 25 July2015.

Leading up to the prize, the tournament will give players and fans an unforgettable professional football experience in their very own communities by providing high quality PUMA branded soccer kits, qualified referees and live entertainment from local artists and commentators. The tournament will be staged at the various SAB regions with the regional winners being transported to Johannesburg for the ultimate showdown to be crowned Champions of this year's Carling League of Champions.

In line with the Carling Black Label football story, coaches of the six teams who reach the Champions Final's weekend will automatically qualify to take part in the 2015 edition of the Carling Black Label Coach the Coaches programme. The coaching programme is a partnership between SAFA and Carling Black Label that seeks to upskill the coaching abilities of men in the most remote places through a SAFA C-Level coaching course conducted by highly qualified SAFA Coaching instructors.

Carling Black Label Brand Campaign Manager, Sifiso Nkosi has urged the communities to come out in their numbers and celebrate their very own Champions.

"All preparations are underway for this year's Carling League of Champions. We are proud to have been making a difference to various communities for the past three years through a professional football tournament that affords them the opportunity to feel like Champions. Through the Carling League of Champions, we have been successful in making a contribution to bringing different communities together through football. As we count down the days to the first kick off, we look forward to witnessing the great atmosphere of supporters coming out in their numbers to rally behind their heroes" said Nkosi.

Fans are urged to come early to the games as there will be plenty of entertainment and prizes lined up for the day.
