Pirates booked their spot in the semi-finals after hammering AmaZulu 4-2 thanks to a brace by Patrick Maswanganyi and goals from Kabelo Dlamini and Makhehlene Makhaula.

The Buccaneers are on a five-game winning run in all competitions after beating Cape Town City 2-0 in the league, in midweek, courtesy of a brace by Tshegofatso Mabasa.

Chippa, on the other hand, went through to the semi-finals after beating TS Galaxy 2-0 after goals by Bienvenu Eva Nga and Roscoe Pietersen.

The Chilli Boys were last in action on Wednesday after a 2-1 defeat to Moroka Swallows in the league.

United will be without three players due to suspensions, Azola Ntsabo, Pietersen and Baraka Majogoro.

The sides could not be separated in their league meeting this season after a 1-1 draw back in August after Pirates loanee Goodman Mosele cancelled out an opener from the Soweto giants by Bandile Shandu.
