DStv Premiership

Teams: Sekhukhune United v Moroka Swallows

Date: 16 August 2023

Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium

Time: 19h30

Sekhukhune were humiliated 5-0 by Pirates in the MTN8 quarter-finals over the weekend and will be looking to redeem themselves.

Babina Noko opened their league campaign with a 2-1 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns but they responded with a 2-0 win over Cape Town Spurs.

Sekhukhune are lying seventh on the table with three points and a win will take them up to the top three.

Swallows, on the other hand, are also wounded after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Sundowns in the MTN8 quarter-finals, where they played with ten men from the seventh minute after Andile Jali was red-carded against his former side.

Steve Komphela's men have only picked up one point from their first two matches, as a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows in their opener was followed by a narrow 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City.

Each side got away with three points in this fixture last season after the Birds won the first round clash 2-1 at home thanks to a brace by Mwape Musonda, who scored behind after Victor Letsoalo opened the scoring for United.

Babina Noko settled the score in the reverse after edging Swallows 1-0 courtesy of Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya.
