Sundowns bounced back from their MTN8 Cup upset at the hands of Orlando Pirates with a 5-0 rout over Maritzburg United in the league on Tuesday.

The win was the Brazilians' fifth in a row in the league, as they extended their lead at the top of the table to three points.

Sundowns will be without full-back Aubrey Modiba due to suspension following his red-card against the Buccaneers seven days ago.

Royal AM, meanwhile, ended their three-game losing streak in the league after thrashing Golden Arrows 3-1 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby also on Tuesday evening.

Thwihli Thwahla are lying eighth on the table with 16 points and will be looking to remain in the top eight in the last round of fixtures before the FIFA World Cup break.

Sundowns have a perfect winning record against AM since they bought the Premiership status last season, with two wins in the league and another victory in the Nedbank Cup.
