Orlando Pirates will be seeking to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they host AmaZulu on Friday evening at Orlando Stadium.

DStv Premiership

Teams: Orlando Pirates v AmaZulu

Date: 14 October 2022

Venue: Orlando Stadium

Time: 19h30

Pirates dropped points for the second successive match after they were held to a goalless draw by ten-man Richards Bay last weekend and as a result, Jose Riveiro's charges slipped down to fifth on the table.

The Buccaneers will be without Thabiso Monyane who will be serving his last match suspension, while goalkeeper Richard Ofori is back from his one-game suspension.

AmaZulu, meanwhile, will have a new coach in the dugout, Romain Folz, after they parted ways with Brandon Truter following their 1-0 loss to Richards Bay, which was their third consecutive defeat.

Folz finds the team lying ninth on the table with 11 points, just one point shy of a top-eight spot.

Usuthu will be missing former Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango and Veluyeke Zulu due to suspensions.

The Buccaneers took four points off AmaZulu last season after a 1-1 draw in Durban, while they claimed a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture on home soil.
