Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Moroka Swallows

Date: 02 March 2024

Venue: FNB Stadium

Time: 17h45

Chiefs are yet to score since resuming their season after a goalless draw against Royal AM in the league was followed by another stalemate against Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford in extra-time in the Nedbank Cup last 32.

The Stallions stunned Amakhosi on penalties despite also having Vusumuzi Mthabela sent off with nine minutes left in extra-time.

Cavin Johnson's charges are lying sixth on the log with 25 points, six points off the continental places.

Swallows, on the other hand, gave their troubled season a boost after progressing to the Nedbank Cup last 16 after they beat Platinum City Rovers on penalties, following a goalless draw in extra-time.

The Birds re-opened their league campaign with a 1-0 loss to Polokwane City a week prior.

Swallows have dropped down to 13th on the log with 19 points, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Chiefs will also be looking to complete a league double over the Birds after edging them 1-0 in November last year courtesy of a late goal by Christian Saile.
