CAF Champions League
Teams: Djabal v Orlando Pirates
Date: 19 August 2023
Venue: Stade de Moroni
Time: 14:30
The Buccaneers are back in continental action for the first time since losing to Moroccan side RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2022.
Pirates' last bit of action in the Champions League came in 2020 when they bundled out in the first round by Zambia's Green Eagles in 2020.
Jose Riveiro's charges were involved in midweek action as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Chippa United on Tuesday evening, before departing for Comoros.
Djabal are no strangers to the Buccaneers, having previously met in the preliminary rounds in the 2012/2013 edition, where the Soweto giants claimed an emphatic 9-0 aggregate win.
Riveiro has decided to make a few changes, with Zakhele Lepasa, Sipho Chaine, Thapelo Xoki and Ndabayithethwa Ndlodlo named on the bench.
Here's how they line up:
Orlando Pirates: Ofori, Maela, Mthethwa, Monyane, Mako, Monare, Makaringe, Saleng, Hotto, Mofokeng, Eva Nga.
Subs: Chaine, Marou, Xoki, Dlamini, Ndlondlo, Otladisa, Lepasa
