Orlando Pirates will be looking to maintain their perfect start in the Betway Premiership when they host SuperSport United on Tuesday evening at Orlando Stadium.

Betway Premiership

Teams: Orlando Pirates v SuperSport United

Date: 22 October 2024

Venue: Orlando Stadium

Time: 19h30

Pirates are one of only two teams, including Mamelodi Sundowns, yet to drop points in the Premiership, after they made it three wins from as many matches following a narrow and late 1-0 win over Richards Bay, courtesy of a free-kick goal by Kabelo Dlamini just before the MTN8 final.

The Buccaneers were in high spirits after beating Stellenbosch 3-1 in the MTN8 final but were humbled by newly-promoted Magesi, who knocked them out of the Carling Knockout in the first round with a 3-2 win this past Saturday.

Jose Riveiro's charges are lying second on the log, behind Sundowns on goal difference.

SuperSport, on the other hand, have had a shaky start to their season, with only one win from their four league matches and are looking to bounce back after a 1-0 defeat against Cape Town City.

And that was before a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Knockout last 16 this past Saturday.

Gavin Hunt's charges are lying 13th on the log, with four points from as many matches.

Matsatsantsa will be without Gape Moralo due to suspension after he was red-carded against Chiefs.

Here's how they line up:

Orlando Pirates: 24. Chaine, 36. Sesane, 5. Sibisi, 3. Van Rooyen, 7. Hotto, 16. Mbatha, 8. Makhaula, 28. Maswanganyi, 33. Nkota, 38. Mofokeng, 17. Makgopa
