SuperSport gave new Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Lebohang Maboe his first start alongside recalls for goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, Gamphani Lungu, Pogiso Sanoka and Samir Nurkovic, as changes from the defeat against Sundowns.

Sekhukhune, meanwhile, also brought back Katlego Otladisa, Linda Mntambo and Relebohile Mokhuoane as alterations after loss against Orlando Pirates.

Matsatsantsa had a bright start as Sanoka and Christian Saile had early chances with headed efforts that missed narrowly wide in close succession.

SuperSport continued to pressurize Sekhukhune and midway into the first stanza Nurkovic forced a save out of goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare with a strike in the box.

Babina Noko were waiting for chances on counter-attacks and they had their first chance just before the interval as Tshepo Mokoane's shot in the box was smothered by Goss.

Lehlohonolo Seema's charges gad a perfect start in the second stanza after Mokhuoane broke the deadlock with a header in the box from a cross by Keletso Makgalwa.

SuperSport had a glorious chance to equalise after they were awarded a penalty on the hour-mark but Lungu's spot-kick was saved by Sangare.

With 15 minutes to go, Gavin Hunt made an attacking and tactical change as Terrence Dzvukamanja replaced Brooklyn Poggenpoel.

With the game on the edge in the dying minutes, Seema made a defensive and tactical change, as Ellis Rammala replaced Makgalwa.

However, Nurkovic eventually snatched the equaliser for SuperSport in the last minute with a strike in the box from a corner situation as the game ended all square.
