Bloemfontein Celtic will host Kaizer Chiefs in an ABSA Premiership league encounter on Wednesday, April 12. Amakhosi will be seeking to stay in contention for the league title, however, Celtic are no easy task, especially playing on their home turf.

The first round of the UEFA Champions league quarterfinals takes place on Wednesday, April 12, as Atletico Madrid host Leicester City at Vicente Calderon. With both sides in great form, this promises to be a tough encounter, but on paper, Madrid is the stronger side.

Real Madrid will travel away as they face off against Bayern Munich. This much-anticipated match takes place at Allianz Arena and both teams have incredible sides going into the encounter, which promises to be spectacular game for the supporters.

Bloem Celtic v Kaizer Chiefs (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Celtic 11th Chiefs 3rd

Useful facts: The last 29 matches between these two have resulted in 16 wins for Chiefs and just two for Celtic. Furthermore, Chiefs are undefeated in 2017. However, Celtic are undefeated in the five matches since coach Luc Eymael took over the team, despite the Belgian being ineligible to sit in the dugout. So, with 11 of the aforementioned 29 games ending in draws, a stalemate appears to be the likely result.

Innocent Mayoyo: Draw

Atletico Madrid v Leicester City (Champions League)

League rankings: Atletico 3rd (La Liga) Leicester 11th (Premier League)

Useful facts: Both teams enter this game in great form, with Leicester winning five of their last six games and Atletico winning four in that timeframe. With no historical precedent to speak of, the Foxes will be confident of keeping their Champions League miracle hopes alive. But, with Diego Simeone's men reaching two finals in the last three years, perhaps this is where the dream dies…

Innocent Mayoyo: Atletico

Bayern Munich v Real Madrid (Champions League)

League rankings: Bayern 1st (Bundesliga) Real Madrid 1st (La Liga)

Useful facts: This could, perhaps, be the biggest match of the season in world football, with Zinedine Zidane coming up against his former mentor, Carlo Ancelotti, who oversaw Real's thrashing of the German giants back in 2014, where they won 5-0 on aggregate. However, with three wins for either team in their last six encounters, this game is historically even. But Real are undefeated in 12 Champions League matches and even a draw away from home will be a favourable result.

Innocent Mayoyo: Bayern Munich
