Pro FIFA gamer Kaylan Moodley won the inaugural Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championship.
After successful online and instore qualifiers which started mid-November, the gaming tournament came to an end at the rAge 2022 expo.

Mamelodi Sundowns FIFA 23 Championships finals
To celebrate its inclusion in EA Sports' FIFA 23 game, Masandawana alongside Mettlestate, started up a FIFA 23 tournament that saw 8 finalist compete at the rAge 2022 expo in Johannesburg.
The prize pool was a staggering R200k, with the winner Kaylan Moodley walking away with the first place prize of R100k. He was handed a cheque by club ambassador Tiyani Mabunda.
A confident Moodley was buzzing after his win and mentioned that always backs himself in clutch moments. He also boasted a solid defensive record on the finals day, he didn't concede a single goal in the final three matches.
Downs chairman Thlopie Motsepe mentioned that one of the aims of this gaming tournament was for the club to discover and engage with different communities in football:
