EA Shares Update On EA Sports FC 24 Performance During Launch Month

EA has revealed how EA FC 24 has performed in the first four weeks of its global launch. 

It's been quite the transition for EA after the publisher announced last year that it was ending its three decade-long partnership with FIFA, launching their new football video game, EA Sports FC.

EA reveal positive EA FC 24 results 

EA revealed that its second quarter earnings results, which were published on Wednesday, that within the first four weeks of its global launch, EA FC 24 boasted over 14.5 million active accounts.

In a comment published on videogameschronicle.com, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said the publisher had "successfully launched EA Sports FC, transforming one of the largest franchises in the world into a powerful, interactive platform for the future of football fandom."

"The successful launch of EA Sports FC represents a profound achievement," added Wilson.

EA FC 24 launched at the end of September, attracting more than 11.3 million players worldwide, including through EA Play, in its first week, the company has claimed.

Following "a successful launch" EA expects modest growth for the EA FC title and CFO Stuart Canfield stated during the their earnings call, that the game is exceeded expectations for them already.

"Within the first four weeks after worldwide launch, over 14.5 million fans have played FC 24 on console and premium PC, including double-digit growth in new players.

"FC Mobile has established new franchise records, with over two million people installing the game on the first day, over five million in the first three days, and over 11 million in the first ten days," said Canfield in a quote published on gamesindustry.biz.
