The FIFA22 Team of the Year was recently revealed, with the star-studded side including ballers such as Robert Lewandowski and Kevin De Bruyne, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah failed to make the final cut. Have a look!
What's the story?
Between 10 – 18 Jan, players had the chance to vote for the FIFA22 TOTY and had 80 nominees to choose from. Earlier this week it was revealed that the final team would be announced on 20 January, with the voting process also receiving input from EA.
Regarding the team, Italy and Paris Saint Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma was voted in as the stand out goalkeeper of the year.
Solid At The Back
Just ahead of the tall shot-stopper is a backline that includes Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo and PSG duo, Marquinhos and Achraf Hakimi. The Chelsea midfield force of Jorginho and Kante were also named in the squad, following their UEFA Champions League heroics last year.
Goal Getter
As one of the game's most prolific goal scorers in recent years, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is finally starting to receive his flowers and was also named in the FIFA22 TOTY.
