An American football star saw his transfer to another team leaked after someone heard his conversation on a stream of Call of Duty: Warzone.
Transfers are usually leaked to the media through sources at clubs or agents, but according to Gamespot, in this particular case, a player overheard a conversation happening in the background through one of his teammates' microphone.
Reddit user ProbationOfficer2035 created a thread titled "Possible trade coming between the Bears and Steelers" after he overheard a conversation that NFL star Rashaad Coward was having.
Coward's wife, known as OohTally, is a streamer and reportedly confirmed at the time that her husband was an NFL player and that it was him on the phone, but did not provide his name.
However, through her social media posts, the Redditor was able to work out that it was a Bears player.
"The last thing I heard was that if no one else calls within the next 30 minutes he's gonna sign a 3-year deal in order to facilitate the trade because he would love to be in Pittsburgh," ProbationOfficer2035 said in his thread.
Coward's move to the Steelers was officially confirmed on Monday.
