A New FIFA Legend Emerges In SL League Grand Finals

A New FIFA Legend Emerges In SL League Grand Finals

Legends League Winners

It was a tense Grand Finals in the inaugural Soccer Laduma League, powered by Puma, with Deevak2309 being crowned the overall winner in the Legends League - where he won R5000 in cash!

After weeks of qualifying and league action, the players lined up on Saturday, 31 July, to fight for the R20k worth of prizes up for grabs.

In the Legends League, there was no real change in regards to the dominance shown by the top two. Deevak2309 finished top of the group with 42 points - winning 14 of his 15 games while being handed on forfeit victory.

Pavendren, who's placed second, level on points with Aasimlamara2004, faced off against Deevak2309 in a tense final, which ended 1-0 in favour of the group winner. While Deevak2309 grabbed R5000, Pavendren left with R2500 in his pocket.

It was Reebrahimovic who was the surprise package, finishing third with a 1-0 triumph over Aasimlamara2004. Reebrahimovic had finished fifth on the table but claimed R1500 in prize money for his bronze. Aasimlamara2004 earned R1000.

It was different in the Premier League, where group winner Mfiswana could only manage a fourth-place finish. MOBiZILLA, who lost one game and forfeited the rest of his matches in the group stages, surged to victory in the Grand Finals - winning R5000 in Puma merchandise! Ubaid, who finished fifth in the group, lost 1-0 to MOBiZILLA in the final but claimed R2500 in Puma gear.

BOBO, who had finished third in the group, was the third-place play-off winner and won R1500 in Puma merchandise after losing 1-0 to MOBiZILLA. Mafiswana, who may have been disappointed to dominate the group and only finish fourth in the Grand Final, still earned a consolation with R1000 in Puma merchandise.

There were some competitors in the Amateur Leagues fighting for promotion, with SAJ winning the Grand Finals, followed by Schoolboy in second, DarthMayhem in third and tehnaces in fourth.
