Some big decisions are set to be made behind the scenes at SuperSport United, but the biggest one could see the club holding onto their topflight status, despite recent reports of a sale.
Reports emerged a few weeks ago that a consortium in charge of Bloemfontein Celtic is looking to purchase the status of SuperSport, who narrowly escaped going into the end of season play offs after a 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows on Thursday.

It was a difficult season for the club, struggling with results under former Gavin Hunt and then interim mentor Andre Arendse. The Siya crew understands that there will be meetings behind the scenes to look back at the season and make decisions on what happens with the club going forward.
This is not the first time there has been reports about SuperSport being up for sale and the Siya crew has been told that the big bosses involved at the club have considered selling before, but kept the club alive.
Some of the big concerns at the club, according to information received by the Siya crew, is the club's struggles in the market and the lack of silverware of the last few seasons. SuperSport have not been able to go into the market and pay big transfer fees for players, or attract some of the big names of local football.

Previously, the club was able to compete in the market, but it has not been the same in recent years and it's cost them dearly on the pitch. There's been a heavy reliance on younger players and they have not been able to deliver cup success.
The club has regressed in recent times but they could still hold onto their status to preserve their history.
