SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has provided an update on the future of experienced defender Thulani Hlatshwayo.
The former Orlando Pirates defender is about to complete his second season with Matsatsantsa, with his deal set to expire at the end of June.

When he joined SuperSport last season, Hlatshwayo signed a one-year deal with an option to extend for another campaign. SuperSport triggered the option in his contract and it's now set to expire, but there is a good chance that the club will keep him for at least another season.
A new deal has not been agreed as yet, but Matthews revealed that they are interested in keeping the 34-year-old at the club.
"We will see how the season ends up before deciding on any extensions but Tyson is a great pro and character so we hope he will stay longer at the club," Matthews said to the Siya crew.
Hlatshwayo, who struggled with injury earlier this season, has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, proving to be one of coach Gavin Hunt's most trusted men.
In edition 1367 of Soccer Laduma in March, Hlatshwayo spoke about his concern over his contract, especially because he was out with an injury for a few months before returning in February.

At the time, Hlatshwayo said: "I have a contract finishing soon. It's like if you were to ask me what's my position with Bafana Bafana. I haven't retired from Bafana Bafana, but what do I need for me to be eligible to play for Bafana? It's performance. And where is performance? It's at your team, where the bread and butter is. So, when you get injured, you worry."
