Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has been impressed with 16-year-old striker Neo Bohloko, and the Siya crew finds out what's next in store for the teenager.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi had given Bohloko a chance to train with the senior team when he was 15-years-old last season.

Now, insiders at the club have indicated that the coach is believed to be impressed with the youngster and has recommended that he be given a senior team contract and promoted to the first team.

The sources at the club, privy to information, added that this could happen in January or at least by the end of the season.

"You remember last year he trained with the first team but returned back to the DDC team and he has been doing very well. The first team's technical team has been monitoring his progress and they are happy with what they have seen and it's believed coach Nabi has recommended that he be given a senior team contract to be promoted. So, for now they are working on how long the contract will be and other logistics as they look at bolstering the strike force from January going forward," the Siya source stated.

A second source stated that the 16-year-old will, for now, continue playing for the DDC team under coach Vela Khumalo.

"Just like Wandile Duba, Samkelo Zwane, Mfundo Vilakazi and Mduduzi Shabalala they were playing for the DDC while being prepared to be registered for the first team and that's what they are set to do with Neo (Bohloko) as well at the moment," the second source stated.

Last season, while still 15-years-old, Bohloko won the Kaizer Chiefs DDC Player of the Year award and recently was named the most outstanding player in the Engen Challenge tournament.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment, but there was no response at the time this story was published.

As Bohloko continues to impress at Chiefs, his potential promotion to the senior team marks an exciting development for the club. Fans will be eager to see how the young striker progresses and contributes to the team's future success.
