Moeneeb Josephs Could Get Another Year At Bidvest Wits

Moeneeb Josephs

Bidvest Wits have a one-year option on club legend, Moeneeb Josephs, as he draws closer to the last six months of his current contract in Braamfontein.   Read: PSL Trio Keen On SuperSport Talent   The 37-year-old veteran shot-stopper will see his deal with the Clever Boys expire at the end of the 2017/18 season unless Gavin Hunt decides to exercise the option in his deal and keep him there for another season.   Josephs started the campaign as Hunt's first-choice 'keeper during the absence of Darren Keet through injury, however, since Keet's return he has seen himself drop down the pecking order and hasn't featured in a matchday squad since October.     Click here to check out the PSL fixtures   At this point, it remains to be seen whether Wits will exercise their option on the experienced former Orlando Pirates man, although they could be looking to utilise him in the club once his playing days are over as they have done with the likes of Dillon Sheppard.   There is no doubt that Josephs wouldn't be short of options should Wits decide that they can no longer afford to pay a hefty wage for a player in the stands, although it is thought that his personality makes him as important off the pitch as he is on it.
