Nabi's Plan For Ozoemena

Nabi's Plan For Ozoemena

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be in negotiations with different clubs for the loan of a promising youngster, the Siya crew has been informed.

Amakhosi are hoping Manqoba Ozoemena can gain game time at a higher level to improve his experience as the club prepares him for next season.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Ozoemena had been offered a five-year contract by the club after impressing during the pre-season camp in Turkey.

Now, Siya sources close to the club have indicated Chiefs want to loan the youngster out in January to ensure he plays at a higher level and not just in the DDC.

Sources at the club privy to information have discussed how the team is keen on his development in the short and long term.

"At the moment most of the time he is playing for the DDC team but coach (Nasreddine) Nabi wants him in the first team and that's why he was with the team in pre-season in Turkey but when he looks at the squad that he has now, he feels that Manqoba (Ozoemena) won't play and that's why they want him to gain experience by loaning him out. It's the team that is looking for clubs who could agree to take him on loan. They are looking at PSL clubs where he can play competitively for the second half of the season," the Siya source stated.

A second insider close to the club stated that coach Nabi is the one who recommended that Ozoemena goes out on loan to gain experience.

"The coach believe in Manqoba. He really likes the kid, but for now, he thinks he needs to gain experience hence the need for the team to send him on loan. You know he is just 19-years-old and he has a great future but they don't want to throw him in the deep end without proper experience and the loan to a PSL side would help him develop further as a player and be ready for next season," the second insider stated.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing.

Amakhosi's decision to loan out Ozoemena reflects their strategic approach to player development. By ensuring he gains valuable experience at a higher level, the club aims to prepare him for a significant role in the first team next season. The upcoming loan move will be crucial for Ozoemena's growth and readiness for future challenges.
