After winning the KZN Premier Cup on Sunday, Richards Bay are still looking at bolstering their squad with more experienced players ahead of the new season, the Siya crew understands.
Insiders close to the club have indicated that the Natal Rich Boyz have enquired about former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Maboe, who is understood to have been recently released by the Brazilians with a year left on his contract.

The insiders, privy to reliable information and close to both the clubs and the player, stated that the team is keen on the South African, who is currently without a club but has attracted interest from multiple PSL sides.
"It's the technical team that has recommended Maboe to the side. They are looking at bolstering the squad ahead of the new season as they feel they need an experienced midfielder like Maboe in the team so that they can fight in every tournament that they will compete in this season," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
A second source stated that Richards Bay are carefully considering the financial aspects of the potential deal.
"It will also go down to the money issue. The club is believed to be looking at how best they can work around signing Maboe knowing that he is coming from Sundowns. They are one of the highest paying teams in the league. The club is interested and have enquired about him," the second source revealed.
