There has been an update on Stanley Nwabali and his PSL return after the Africa Cup of Nations completion, amid reports of threats allegedly directed at him.
Nwabali was a hero for Nigeria as they finished as silver medal winners after losing 2-1 to hosts Ivory Coast in the AFCON final on Sunday.

The shot-stopper played all the matches for the Super Eagles in Ivory Coast and was a star performer, including in the semi-final against Bafana Bafana which they won 4-2 on penalties.
The 27-year-old saved two penalties during the shootouts and was named Man of the Match.
Reports have suggested that Nigerian football administrator Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam has warned Nwabali against returning to Chippa United.
"The feelers I'm getting from South Africa regarding Nwabali is not encouraging, and I want to advise that he should not go back to Chippa United after the AFCON. If possible, he can forget going back to Chippa United and train with any of our top clubs either Enyimba United or Rivers United before he can find a new club. That's my honest advice and I hope he takes it," the respected administrator reportedly said, as quoted by NationSports.

Meanwhile, sources close to the Chilli Boys have confirmed that the player is on his way back to the club for the resumption of the league.
"Stanley Nwabali is coming back, and he belongs to the club. There is no reason why he shouldn't return now that AFCON has finished. He was on national duty and did well for his country and we are proud of him. He will land this week in Jo'burg and proceed to the club," said the source.
