Kaizer Chiefs could be tabling a new two-year contract with a one-year option for striker Ashley Du Preez.
The South African joined Amakhosi last season from Stellenbosch FC and had signed a two-year initial contract, according to a reliable source.

Siya sources have indicated that the 26-year-old is regarded as one of Kaizer Chiefs' vital strikers and they may want to keep him for a longer period.
"Apparently, Ashley had signed a two-year contract in 2022 when he joined the club and there was an agreement that if he scores 10 or more goals in the first season then they will discuss a new and improved deal," said the Siya source.
"Yes, he didn't score 10 goals but he did enough to guarantee him a new deal and that's why the team will table a new two-year deal which will then run until 2026.
"But they could add a one-year option too which will then keep him at the team until June 2027. I think if all goes well then this new deal should be finalised before December this year.
"As I have said, it will be an improved contract from the initial one and as soon as they have agreed I will let you know," the source told the Siya crew.
The Siya crew contacted Chiefs but no comment was received while preparing this story.
