Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be reviving their interest in a national team winger, with continental football ambitions driving a renewed pursuit of a player they failed to secure last season.
The transfer target, who has impressed both domestically and internationally with Bafana Bafana, is reportedly back atop Amakhosi's wish list after previously appearing to have been crossed off.

Insiders at the club have indicated that the club scouts are believed to have shortlisted the midfielder as one of their targets for next season despite having faced challenges in signing him in the previous off season.
The insiders added that Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis is the player back on Chiefs' radar for next season.

"There was a time when the club was apparently looking at other wingers and letting the issue of Appollis go but now it's believed that the club scouts and recruiters believe that they still need him at the club hence he is back on their shopping list. Since they are going to Africa they believe he will be vital with the Bafana Bafana experience that he comes with," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second insider stated that the club is willing and looking at releasing players to accommodate the signing of Appollis for next season.
"The technical team had earlier requested to have a smaller squad and because they are looking at bringing in more new players like Oswin Appollis then they are apparently going to release some of their current players. There are others who will be out of contract, then there are those who are not in the coach's plans. So that's the plan for now," the second source revealed.
The 23-year-old has played nearly all the Betway Premiership games this season and has been a regular in the Bafana team too.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs on the matter but there was no response at the time of publishing.
This renewed pursuit of Appollis demonstrates Chiefs' determination to strengthen their squad following their Nedbank Cup success and qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup. The winger's pace, creativity and international experience would add valuable attacking options for the challenges ahead.
As the Soweto giants prepare for a potentially transformative transfer window, their ability to trim the current squad while adding quality in key positions will likely determine whether they can build on their cup success and challenge next season.
