Chiefs Talking To Former Sundowns Winger?

Chiefs Talking To Former Sundowns Winger?

On Monday Kaizer Chiefs announced six players who they have already signed ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 DStv Premiership season, but it seems the Glamour Boys are not yet done.

Siya sources have indicated that Amakhosi could be talking to a former Mamelodi Sundowns winger who was recently released by the Brazilians.

Different sources told the Siya crew that Chiefs are potentially talking to Bradley Ralani whose contract at Sundowns came to an end. Masandawana didn't renew it despite the player having a one-year option on his contract.

"What I can tell you for now is that the club is talking to the player. Whether it's through his representatives or direct to him that I am not sure about but what I am sure of is that they are talking to him," said the Siya source.

"I don't think they are that much in a hurry because he is a free agent. But wanting him and talking to him I know they are," the source told the Siya crew.

"There are other wingers that they are looking at including Sanele Barns of Richards Bay and also if some of their players go on loan then they don't have a very big squad for next season," said the Siya source.

"But, yes they are talking to Bradley (Ralani). Only time and situation will tell," added the source.

The 35-year-old joined Sundowns in January 2022 with his initial contract running until June 2023 but the team had a one-year option on him which they didn't exercise.

Initial Amakhosi interest in Ralani was also reported by Kickoff last month.

Efforts to get a comment from Kaizer Chiefs were unsuccessful as the club didn't respond at the time of preparing this story.
