Pirates Player Could Leave Despite Being Registered

According to sources close to Orlando Pirates, the club is believed to be working on loaning out one of their midfielders again this season after he spent last season on loan as well.

Siya sources indicated that the Buccaneers are looking at which club could take Goodman Mosele on loan this time, after he had previously turned out for Chippa United.

The sources added that the Pirates technical team is happy with the players who are performing ahead of him in the Bucs side so far this season, and a loan deal would be ideal for both parties.

"You see there are many factors affecting Goodman (Mosele). He came back injured from Chippa United in May and he is still going through rehab. The team doesn't want to take chances ahead of the players who are doing well in that position like Makhehleni Makhaula and Thalente Mbatha and there is Miguel Timm and Phillip Ndlondlo as well. So the competition is tough for him and that's why the club are looking at loaning him out again so that he can have more game time," said the Siya source.

A second source stated that even the player himself wants to go where he can play regularly and eventually earn Bafana Bafana call-ups, like he did on loan at Chippa United last season.

"Chippa were interested to keep him but Pirates wanted him back. Now the player wants more game time so that he can be part of Bafana Bafana more regularly. It's a tricky situation now because his contract runs until June 2025 so this could be his last season at Pirates or they could renew his contract. But the club are looking at loan options for him," the second source stated.

Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
