Following Cape Town City's relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, there are question marks on the future of certain players, including one promising youngster already attracting significant international interest.
News reaching the Siya crew is that 19-year-old Gabriel Amato, who was reportedly already on the radar of Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, is now believed to have drawn attention from the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.

Sources close to the player have indicated that Cincinnati FC are believed to be the team that has made inquiries about the Cape Town City midfielder.
"For now, there is interest from Cincinnati FC in the MLS. They are just one of the few teams that have shown interest in Gabriel (Amato) and have inquired about him. There are several other clubs interested in him," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second source stated that European giants Ajax Amsterdam remain interested in the South African youth international.
"That interest from Ajax Amsterdam is still there. But for now, it's believed that those involved are working on the interest from the MLS and the team interested in him is Cincinnati FC," the second insider revealed.

Amato, who celebrated his 19th birthday on Sunday, 27 July, established himself as a regular for Cape Town City last season, making many appearances in the Betway Premiership. The former South Africa U17 international is considered one of the country's brightest young prospects.
It remains to be seen if Cape Town City could get back into the Betway Premiership ahead of Marumo Gallants, based on the latter club reportedly fielding an ineligible player.
Soccer Laduma contacted Cape Town City for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing.
