A former PSL player has jetted out of the country in search of a new club abroad after struggling to find a team in the DStv Premiership and GladAfrica Championship.
After parting ways with AmaZulu in 2019, Simphiwe Lumkwana spent the last few seasons in Mzansi's second tier league with Maccabi FC and Steenberg United respectively.
The 28-year-old winger was previously also on the books of Chippa United. News reaching the Siya crew is that the Cape Town-born player has jetted off to Georgia with a view of signing with one of the top tier clubs there.
"Simphiwe Lumkwana has jetted off to Georgia and is likely to sign with one of the clubs if all goes according to plan," confirmed the source.
"He has just gone there and as soon as there are more details on this, they will be communicated but at things stand things look promising," the source added.
