The transfer market is heating up, and towering goalkeeper Antonio Tuta has emerged as a potential target for some of Mzansi’s biggest clubs.
According to sources close to the player, the former Irish club Kerry FC player has been offered to top PSL sides, with both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates said to have been made aware of his availability.

Tuta, known for his commanding presence as the last line of defence and ability to play out from the back, has recently become a free agent after parting ways with his previous club in Ireland.
The 29-year-old is now seeking a new challenge in Mzansi’s top flight and is believed to favour a move to one of the country’s traditional powerhouses.
His representatives have already initiated contact with a few PSL teams, but the strongest links are currently with Soweto giants Chiefs and Pirates.
Both clubs are believed to be in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 season, and Tuta’s experience, physicality, and leadership qualities could make him an appealing option.
Chiefs, under Nasreddine Nabi and his technical ream, are aiming for a squad rebuild, have been actively scouting experienced players to strengthen their defence.
With the team conceding too many goals this past season, Tuta’s profile fits the club’s current needs.
Meanwhile, Pirates, fresh off a strong finish to the previous campaign, are also looking to add depth to their defence.
With a congested fixture list that includes domestic competitions and continental commitments, a player of Tuta’s calibre could be a valuable asset.

At this stage, no formal offers have been tabled, but discussions are expected to progress in the coming weeks as both clubs finalise their transfer strategies.
Tuta’s experience, coupled with a strong work ethic and aerial dominance, could make him one of the most intriguing free-agent options available on the market.
