During a recent interview with the South African Football Journalists Association (SAFJA) Mokwena confirmed that there were talks between Zungu and Wydad Casablanca for the 31-year-old to make the switch.
Last week, the Siya crew reported that talks have stalled due to the two parties not agreeing on Zungu's potential package.

Now, JournalSport have reported that talks between the two parties have completely broken down and instead, the club has now set their sights on Ivorian midfielder Mohamed Doumbia, who plays his football for Czech outfit Slovan Liberec.
The club do however have one South African on their books, with Cassius Mailula having put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal from Toronto FC.
With a deal to Wydad seemingly off the cards, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Zungu who made 30 appearances for Sundowns in all competitions last season, helping the club to the African Football League and DStv Premiership titles respectively.
