Oswin Appollis may have played his last game for Polokwane City over the weekend and it appears that Kaizer Chiefs will miss out on yet another player.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder, who has been a Chiefs target over the last few months, came on as a second half substitute in Rise and Shine's 1-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Under the watchful eye of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who was at the stadium, Appollis missed a glorious opportunity in extra time that could have prolonged the game to a penalty shootout. That may have been his last game in a Rise and Shine jersey, with a potential move pending.
It's understood that Appollis is set to make a move to North Africa, to join a growing number of South African coaches and players who are in that part of the continent recently. Despite serious interest from Amakhosi, City are believed to have accepted an offer which is upward of R10 million for the 22-year-old.
At 22, Appollis has high value, but it's believed Amakhosi were not willing to match what is being offered to the player in North Africa. The player's value has risen since getting into the Bafana Bafana team and this is going to benefit City.

Reports from North Africa have stated that Tunisian giants Esperance have submitted two offers to City, while Algerian outfit USM Alger are said to be in the mix to secure his signature, possibly even leading the race to secure his signature.
City coach Phuti Mohafe, meanwhile, gave his reason for leaving Appollis out of his line-up for the clash against Sundowns.
"This Appollis is now becoming a big issue for me, in fact. But I think every team has its way of doing things. With Oswin, it's no different to the way we want to do things. But I think it was, all in all, the tactical aspects of the match of how we wanted to counteract what Sundowns were giving to us," Mohafe said at the post match press conference.
