South African striker Zaid Patel has secured an overseas move after signing a deal with CD Almuñecar in Spain.
The 26-year-old forward has been on the books of TS Galaxy in the GladAfrica Championship and is currently also a professional E-sports player with Orlando Pirates.

"CD Almuñecar City are delighted to announce the signing of South African forward Zaid Patel for the 2020/21 season. The 26-year-old striker joins the club from South African National First Division side TS Galaxy," confirmed the Spanish lower league side on its official website.

Speaking on the club's website, CD Almuñecar coach George Jermy said: "On behalf of everybody at the club, we're really happy to welcome Zaid to CD Almuñecar City for the 2020/21 season. He's a strong and powerful striker who has a natural eye for goal - we think he's perfectly suited to European football and we can't wait to see how he fits in. Zaid visited the club in December last year and we were all impressed with his professionalism approach and attitude towards the game."
Patel has also been on the books of Bidvest Wits, Chippa United, AmaZulu and Stellebosch in his career.
