Tunisia

Elias Mokwana's Esperance grabbed the bragging rights in the Tunis Derby after defeating Club Africain 3-1 on Sunday evening.

The Bafana Bafana winger started on the bench, but was introduced as early as the 42nd minute in place of Abdramane Konaté, who picked up an injury.

"A first hard blow disturbed the Esperanto balance with the premature exit of Abdramane Konaté, injured in the thigh in the 40th minute. His replacement, Elyas Mokwana, would nevertheless be up to the task," the club stated in their report.

Mokwana managed to make an impression during his cameo and created one big chance for Yann Sasse, who was unable to convert in th3 52nd minute.

The win sees Mokwana's Esperance move top of the Ligue 1 table, level on points with second-place US Monastir.
