The transfer window closed for several countries over the weekend, and one South African midfielder is thought to have sealed a move to Spain before it slammed shut…
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that Banyana Banyana star, Jermaine Seoposenwe, had attracted some serious interest from Spain's Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino as she looked to take another step on the ladder up from Gintra Universitetas in Lithuania.
Seoposenwe's international teammate, Thembi Kgatlana, completed a big move to Portugal's SL Benfica last week before making her debut at the weekend in a 3-1 win over SC Braga, and now it is believed that another move has been completed.
According to Siya sources, the 26-year-old former Samford University attacker secured a move to Real Betis Balompié Féminas before the transfer window closed, although there has been no official confirmation of the deal from the club yet.
Before that confirmation, it cannot be said for certain that the tricky South African is a Betis player, although an announcement could be made in the coming week if the deal did get over the line in time.
Seoposenwe becomes the latest Banyana star to make a positive move in Europe on the back of last year's FIFA Women's World Cup, with the likes of Kgatlana, Linda Motlhalo and Refiloe Jane all moving on to bigger things in the past few months.
