Despite being sidelined after contracting COVID-19, Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane finds himself very much in the thick of things with his team, albeit from his hotel room.

'Jingles' is well on his way to recovery after it was confirmed by Ahly that he had contracted the Coronavirus, Mosimane also vowed to come back better and stronger.
In his absence, the Red Eagles under the guidance of assistant coach Cavin Johnson romped to a 3-0 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla SC in the Egyptian Premier League.
After the match, a victorious Johnson confirmed that Mosimane played an integral role in Friday's victory.
"Coach Mosimane had a role in this match as we work as one unit. I wish him a speedy recovery and I hope that he comes back soon to resume his mission with the team," Johnson said.

Now, as the club prepare to face AS SONIDEP in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32 on Wednesday, Mosimane once again finds himself in the thick of things.
According to Al Ahly's website, Mosimane contacted his assistant coaches Johnson and Samy Komsan to check on the team's training plan in Niamey, Niger.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach put in a call to ensure that the delegation arrived safely following their private flight, and are settled in the hotel, wishing them luck against their opponents.
Johnson will be looking to make it two wins in two matches on Wednesday. The match scheduled for 16:00 at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché.
