Esteghlal head coach Pitso Mosimane has expressed frustration over his team's inability to convert chances into goals, as the Iranian Pro League giants continue to struggle in front of goal.
The 60-year-old South African coach was left disappointed after his side played to a second consecutive 0-0 draw, this time against Chadormalu, leaving them languishing in ninth place on the league standings.
Despite dominating large portions of the match and creating several opportunities, Esteghlal's attacking woes continued, with the team failing to find the back of the net once again.
In their last four matches, Mosimane's side has only scored twice, a statistic that has raised concerns about their lack of clinical finishing. For Mosimane, the problem isn't a lack of effort or creativity, but rather the inability to capitalize on the chances that are being created.
"We are creating chances, but it's a pity that we are not converting them as expected," Mosimane said after the draw.
"We're getting into good positions, but we are just not finding the net. Football is about taking those opportunities, and right now, we're not doing that."

Mosimane, known for his tactical acumen and focus on discipline, has been struggling to find the right balance between attacking intent and finishing efficiency. His side has consistently been able to generate chances, but the lack of a clinical touch in front of goal has been a constant issue in recent weeks.
The draw against Chadormalu marked their second consecutive goalless result, further highlighting Esteghlal's struggles in the attacking third.
Despite the frustration, Mosimane remains positive about the team's potential and is confident that the goals will come.
"I am not too concerned because we are creating the chances," he added.
"The most important thing is that the players are in the right positions and doing the right things. Once we start converting these chances, things will change for us."
Esteghlal's poor run of form has left them mid-table, well below the high standards expected of the club. As they sit in ninth place, the pressure is mounting on Mosimane to find a solution to their attacking woes. The team's performances have been largely solid, but their inability to finish matches off has been their Achilles' heel.
