A big decision has been made on Morena Ramoreboli in Botswana, his club Jwaneng Galaxy has confirmed in a statement.

Following his successes with Galaxy which include winning the League on two occasions since joining the club in 2021, Ramoreboli was appointed as the interim coach of Botswana in October.

In a short space of time in charge, the Bloemfontein-born coach led the Zebras to qualify for their second ever Africa Cup of Nations finals to be held in Morocco next year.

In recent weeks, Ramoreboli has been facing an uncertain future with Galaxy as juggling between the two roles for the club and country has been a bit of a challenge for him.

Having qualified Botswana for AFCON, Morena has had the Botswana Football Association working on appointing him permanently as the national team coach, which is why he has now stepped down from his role at Galaxy.

This adjustment allows head coach Mr. Morena Ramoreboli to focus on personal commitments for the time being. We thank you for your understanding and continued support during this period. We are confident in coach Moyo's leadership and remain committed to achieving success together as a team and community," reads the club's statement.
