Mike Makaab opted against revealing the names of the clubs interested in Kaizer Chiefs target, Knowledge Musona, but insists that they have already started talking to them.

Musona is going through a rough spell in his career at present as he trains with Hoffenheim's reserves in Germany after failing to secure a move elsewhere in the last transfer window.

The 24-year-old striker spent last season on loan with the Amakhosi, finding his form in their colours once again before an injury hampered his progress.

Now, with the player's future in doubt, Makaab has told Zimbabwean publication, The Standard, that they have started talking to a number of clubs.

Makaab explained, "Obviously this is not an ideal situation for him. Definitely he will be playing in Europe and we are looking at opportunities there. He has said he wants to continue playing in Europe and play regularly.

"Hopefully we will secure him a move where he would be a regular as he desires. Knowledge is back to full fitness and doing well at training. He is eager to start playing. However one can never rule out any other kind of move.

"We have already started talking to certain clubs. There is considerable interest and we have to make sure he gets a club. At the moment I cannot reveal the clubs interested in him. It would be unfair to start naming at this stage."

Musona still has one year and a half left to run on his Hoffenheim contract, meaning that the club are likely to ask for a significant transfer fee for his services, even though he's not part of their first team plans.
