It Was A Successful Night For Thulani Serero In The Eredivisie For Vitesse
Bafana Bafana have not had too many players playing in Europe's top club competitions in recent years, but one of their players starred this season as his side took a step towards the UEFA Europa League.   Read: Inside Naturena - Defender Returns As Desperate Chiefs Prepare   Thulani Serero had more possession (8.5%) and made more passes (76) and more accurate passes (68) than anyone else on the field as Vitesse secured a fifth place in the Eredivisie last night following their 3-1 win over VV Venlo.   The victory set up a play-off tie against FC Groningen in the Eredivisie's UEL qualifier, where the two teams will face each other over two legs before taking on either FC Utrecht or Heracles for a spot in the UEL qualifiers in the 2019/20 season.   Serero's Vitesse teammate, Martin Ødegaard, has had a superb season while on loan from Real Madrid, and got a goal and an assist against Venlo before 'Cream' set up the third to finish the job and bag that fifth place position.   Read: Safety For Amakhosi Quartet After Duo Excluded  
A good end to the season could be a big confident boost for the midfielder ahead of this year's African Cup of Nations in Egypt, especially after such a strong season in the Netherlands where he was almost ever-present, playing 31 of their 34 league games.   Check out the highlights - including Serero's assist - in the video below:
