The former Kaizer Chiefs defender has been a key figure in the Romanian side's defence since joining the side in 2023.

He secured his second consecutive Liga I title and his importance in the team was confirmed by club owner Gigi Becali, who admitted that Ngezana was part of a small group of players in the squad that he wants to stay at the club, ProSport reported.

With Champions League football a possibility next season, Becali is not considering selling any of his players and listed five stars he deemed "intangible."

Becali said he would only sell players whose release clauses have been met and admitted that he would not consider any sale of Stefan Tarnovanu, Adrian Sut, Darius Olaru, Daniel Birligea and Siyabonga Ngezana.

"Well, no player is leaving me unless the clause is paid," Becali said.

"If someone wants a player from me, don't ask me about negotiations. I won't give him away. Oh, there are players I could give up," the owner added.

He continued: "But I don't want to give up on Târnovanu. I don't give up on Sut, I don't give up on Olaru. So there are players I don't give up on. But there are also players I don't bet on, that is... I don't bet 100% on them, I only bet 90%. And he can leave, because someone replaces him. But there are players, like Bîrligea for example, like Sut, like Ngezana."
