A.C Milan midfielder, Refiloe Jane, has given an update on her health during the current lockdown in Italy.
Several countries in the world have gone into a nation-wide lockdown due to the spread of COVID-19, which has infected and killed thousands across the globe.
While there is no cure for the Coronavirus as yet, there have been measures set in place by the authorities involved, stressing the importance of maintaining good hygiene and self isolation.
Banyana Banyana midfielder, Jane, who is currently in Italy, a country with the highest COVID-19 death toll in the world, has confirmed that she is in good health and has urged the South African citizens to maintain proper hygiene and follow all instructions passed down from the authorities.
"This is to urge all South Africans to please follow instructions from the authorities, they know best; let us all try and do our part in following instructions. Let us practise good hygiene, wash our hands with water and soap for no less than 20 seconds and use hand sanitizers where possible," Jane told the South African Football Association.
"During lockdown, let us all try and stay at home and only go out for essential services, let us do what we can to try and make sure that we flatten the curve and we stop the spread of the virus. To all those worried about my well-being in Italy, I just want to let you know that I am fine, I am healthy and keeping fit and doing what I have been told to do because it is very important to follow instructions from the authorities, they know best," she added.
