Egyptian giants Al Ahly have released a statement announcing that one of the team's star players has been suspended by the club for a month, with reports suggesting he has fallen out with Pitso Mosimane.
Left-winger Mahmoud Kahraba, 26, has been suspended by the Egyptian giants for the next 30 days, as revealed by the club in a statement.
"Al Ahly's coaching staff decided to impose a fine of EGP 200k (R192 000) on the team player Mahmoud Kahraba and rule him out of matches for one month for disciplinary reasons," it read.
While the Red Devils have not stated exactly what Kahraba has been punished for, KingFut has suggested the forward might have had a fallout with head coach Mosimane.
It is claimed that the South African manager felt disrespected by the player and therefore called a meeting with the club's director of football, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, to discuss the issue.
Kahraba, who is believed to have apologised, has subsequently been suspended by the club for the next month, despite the attacker being Al Ahly's goalscorer with six strikes in 14 matches across all competitions this season.
The player is said to have a reputation for a lack of discipline, having previously been handed a big fine from the club and a ban from the Egyptian Football Association.
